Wassup league community,

About 1 or 2 years ago I got banned because I was toxic. This was not always the case. I was a very fair player. I never flamed or give up. But the point where I began to get mad at teammates or enemies is when my family went to a very rough period. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and got really sick. My dad got in a depression and it brought our whole family down. It was not looking good for my mom. I wanted to escape reality by playing the games i loved to play. It worked but i was angry at myself for reasons I don't even know. My mistake was that I unleashed that anger and worked it out on my league games. Eventually I got banned. Wich I didn't really care about because my mom was top priority a that time (actually she still is). So i'm glad to say that my mom is still here with us today and i thank God for that. Our family was back to what it was. We were happy and all healthy again. So with that being I felt like I wanted to play league again. But my account was banned and didn't want to start all over again because I put allot of money in my main account. I contacted Riot about my situation and they told me there was nothing that they could to to bring back my account. I told hem that i completely understand . Also asked if maybe I there was like a test week/month to show them and you guys that I am a fair and honorable player during League games. They said its not possible.

It left me kinda wondering what you guys think about my situation and the test week/month thing. Do you think players who think they are actually 'reformed' get an second chance to get there valuable account back if they pass the test? I myself think they do. Everybody makes mistakes and if you are truly a fair player you will pass the test. Toxic players will always flame no matter what...

So please give me your opinion about this .

I briefly thank you guys for the response.

A summoner full of regret!

They tried a reformed challenge in the past. It had a failure rate of 95%. Lost of the reformed players wen right back to being toxic after getting their account back. That does not mean you would, but too many did to be worthwhile.

While Panda already said what was to say about a reform program, i just wanted to see glad your mom won the war and i hope the cancer wont return [sg-ahri-2]

Lol of course you think you deserve a second chance. Unfortunately, Riot has statistics that show reform is so rare, it's not worth the risk of further toxifying the community. I used to think that permabans are fucked up and that they should add some more temp bans before perma. But they have reasons for their tiers and data to support it. An overwhelming majority of players that reach 14 day ban, don't change their ways and end up permabanned. There's no point in giving more and more chances. Most of the time, it doesn't reform them. They get banned and THEN talk about how they will reform, for obvious reasons.

No. You were toxic on this account, and it got permabanned. And it should and will stay permabanned. Your second chance was a 2 week ban you had before, or your chat restriction. Another one of these entitled kids that want another and another and another second chance. No, you screwed it up, now deal with it. That's life, sorry.

Nobody prevents you from making a new account, if you really want to play.

Listen, let me propose an alternative, it does require a new account tough! :)

you can join the "i can change" challange, or essentially, "the lvl 100 challange". the challange is simple; prove yourself reformed, by opening a new account (or a low level one, that is if it didnt have any bans, ranging from chat bans to 14 days and perms of course), and getting it to level 100 and honor level 5 :)

heres the thread about it for more details: :https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/MuEzWfvq-mordius-i-can-change-challenge-2018.

and here is our discord: https://discord.gg/fGqvR6K

belive me when im saying you wont regret it, were awpting for 100 people, and im one of them, and so far, the challange is going good, im proveing myelf and to myself that in not toxic, and fully reformed!

youre more than wellcome to join us on our challange, and since youre from euw, you will be able with a couple more players (whose new account is in there), including me! :).

note: it could also be that test period youre mentioning, if you complete the challange, you let the community (and essentiallyriot in some way) know that youre reformed, not toxic and not flaming in your games anymore!
