So here are my thoughts and opinions on the top 3 picks in Fantasy on week 1. I would love to hear your guys' opinions and thoughts as well.

  1. Shiphtur - 60.27 points Shiphtur comes in at the highest earning fantasy player in week 1 with a whopping 60 points! Dignitas didn't even win both of their games and he still manages to squeeze out a massive amount of points. Most of his point production can be argued due to the fact that their first game was extremely long and turned into a sloppy slugfest. Although Shiphtur is the top scorer of this week I don't see him producing the same amount every week afterwards. Shiphtur is highly consistent and safe so it is entirely possible he can be a consistent earner for your teams, but it will have to be seen if he can keep it up.

  2. Piglet - 58.87 points Liquid loses both their week one games and piglet still manages to be the second highest fantasy earner of week 1. To me that sounds almost insane but it is true. Piglet is a real strong mechanical carry and Team Liquid always tries to give him the resources to carry. Given that he gets so many resources he will always have a big impact in their games regardless of Liquid winning or losing. After a crushing defeat to TSM and Piglet taking a serious blow to his mentality hopefully he can keep up his play in the weeks to come.

  3. Freeze - 48.31 points Freeze the star player and prodigy was a huge fantasy pick in previous splits despite being on a failing Copenhagen Wolves team. He has always been a high earner and a quite consistent player. Freeze is a rather safe pick when it comes to points but at times can excel well beyond expectations (2 70+ point games last year). On Renegades, arguably better then CW, he can become a key earner for your fantasy teams as he will probably be the main carry of Renegades.

Side notes:

  • Only 2 of the top 10 earners this week where from Europe. Seems like more points are to be gained from NA

  • I believe 9 players were subbed in/out this week. I encourage you not to pick players that are sub-able as their point values can be very inconsistent.

  • Immortals Achieve the first perfect game of the LCS season against TiP with the game ending at 18:20 before they could even surrender (also the fastest LCS game ever).

Honorable mentions

Impact - Played only 1 game this week and still earned 25.47 points! Imagine him playing 2 games.

WildTurtle - Looking back on form and to his previous ways earning him a whopping 48.29 points only .2 behind Freeze. Can have some really high point values with his aggressive style

KiwiKid - This guy doesn't get enough credit. Earns 45.69 points ON A SUPPORT. Probably the main playmaker on his team and will be pivotal in Dignitas moving forward.

Forgiven - Back to form and Deathless once again through week 1. Earning 45.45 points in week 1 and taking the spot of highest European LCS AD carry BY FAR.

Emporer - Showed signs of life on the trainwreck that was TDK last season. He brings his talent to EU and ends up scoring 40.86 points! I always regarded this guy as a great player and adc. Fun fact: Emporer has played in 4 different regions/Leagues Korea, Brazil, NA, and now EU!

Apollo was solid 43.69 on a DIG team. As well as Altec 45.65, well idk if you could say he was a sleeper pick.
