4-5 is not a tie, thus there is no tie breaker to be done.

I think it takes the average score of all your matches. And the person with a better scoring average is placed higher.

I assume he's saying both he and his friend have 4 wins, 5 losses, thus being a tie.

In any case, the 'How to Play' link in the Fantasy LCS navigation gives all the details on tie-breakers:

The following tiebreakers apply for determining tiebreakers in the standings:

Absolute number of wins (highest total wins) Absolute number of ties (highest total wins) Total Points Scored (highest total wins) Total Points Against (highest total wins) Total Kills (highest total wins) Total Deaths (lowest total wins) Total Minions (highest total wins)

Which ever of you earned the most points from their starting lineup will win. If you tie in that by some miracle, whoever had the most points scored against them by other people's starting lineup wins. I have two examples of where my victory was determined by points last year.

One where I won tiebreaker and got 1st: http://fantasy.na.lolesports.com/en-US/league/77886

One where I lost and got 2nd: http://fantasy.na.lolesports.com/en-US/league/279533

I hope that clears this up.
