Draft Strategy
Hello everyone! Recently, I created a reddit post on /r/FantasyLCS detailing my draft strategy with regards to role prioritization. I added a link to the reddit post if you wish to read the original post, which is a bit more detailed.
I'm fairly new to LoL professional play, but I am experienced when it comes to other fantasy sports. In searching for draft tips, I noticed that a lot of people prioritize roles by which ones score the most points. Personally, I think it is better to go for the roles that have a higher talent disparity, so to speak, between the higher and lower level talents. My draft strategy, in essence, is to prioritize roles as follows: Mid > ADC > Support > Jungle > Top. Now, the most important thing in drafting is to observe how everyone else in your league is drafting.
Along with my original post on reddit, I have included a link below to a spreadsheet I've made (not the cleanest method of getting to the results, but I plan on updating that in the coming days) which hopefully can give you all an idea of the talent disparity within the roles. I know this a bit late, but hopefully this will help with those who have yet to draft as well as future seasons. Any advice or criticism is welcome!
