Looking forward to patch 4.9 for Kassadin

  • A late game Kassadin has very little counterplay due to the very low cooldown on his ultimate. Maybe if Kassadin was just as squishy as Fizz, he'd fit the assassin playstyle more and make his low cooldown ultimate seem fitting. As it is now, Kassadin survives with a simple Riftwalk away from a bad situation. It should be that if Kassadin is successfully CC'd (about 1.5 seconds) he should be able to be blown up within that time frame.
  • However, you would like Kassadin to be a bruiser/fighter type. Most other bruiser/fighter types have just one gap closer and you can actually successfully peel from them. Kassadin has a less than 2 second cooldown gap closer and a slow. He should not be a bruiser/fighter with this amount of utility. He is an assassin AND a bruiser at his current power level.
  • A Kassadin that builds the blue build (item 3110, item 3157 and item 3025 ) does very well against an AD majority team -- even when Kassadin's niche is supposed to be anti-mage.

So you suggest the theme ability of his kit has a higher CD even though it doubles mana costs each use?

It stays like that for ~7 seconds...

Thats a long time for a wrong riftwalk to be castable again.

The reasons you are stating about Kass is his R and his build but his build cant be nerfed.

Ill admit Kass is strong still but he ca nstill be baited and collapsed on

Kass being able to R away from CC is satisfying gameplay because he displaced before being CC'd. In many cases you still lose the skirmish and it forces 1 of 4 r uses for the next 7 seconds.

Staying grouped is another great way to fight him because he actually cannot burst someone down as easily and requires more presence in the fight that opens him up to CC
