Possible Sona Rework Idea?

Sona

Sona was a champion I loved to play way back in season two. Her prime time has since fallen to other supports that do her job, but better. Soraka has a stronger heal, Thresh and Karma have more consistent poke, etc.

I was thinking that Sona could be built into an Udyr-esque champion that relies on auto attacks to activate her skills.

For example (note, the numbers would be needed to be balanced):

Sona's new Q would provide her and all allied champions in the surrounding radius a bonus 5/10/15/20/25 (+10% of total AP) damage per auto attack.

Sona's new W would heal either Sona or the nearest allied champion for 10/15/20/25/30 (+20% of total AP) HP per auto attack. This gains an additional bonus (x1.5?) when attacking enemy champions.

Sona's new E could apply a minor boost of speed to her allies that decays whenever she autoattacks, or slow an enemy champion by the same amount. There would be a set cooldown in which the speed boost/ slow could not be activated again as to prevent a permaslow.

Sona's ultimate is fine how it is.

To compensate for this, power chord's damage can be nerfed, or removed completely. Another option would be to nerf or completely remove the active portions of her current kit. I believe that this change would make Sona a much more interactive champion, and increase her skill cap. Her current kit is too automated, with the exception of her ult.

Raka has a stronger heal but ridiculously long cds. She is also slower and does not offer attack damage increase auras.

In my opinion, Sona is fine the way she is. She has her own play style, you shouldn't play her the same way you do with Raka in the first place. She is also not a tank or mainly poke supp either, so comparing her with Thresh and Karma is like comparing Leona and Lulu....

Sona is an easy to play champ, but she can turn the tide of the game if played well and taking advantage of her power chords. For example, How often do you actually see someone use her powerchord slow during a chase? I main support and I can tell you that not a single player in Bronze/Silver knows how to use it properly. I've seen it now in Gold, but even then it's not as common as you'd expect.

I just completely disagree with your "Her prime time has since fallen to other supports that do her job, but better." statement.
