Brand's ult is just dafuq

Can somebody explain me Brand 's ultimate? "Brand unleashes a devastating torrent of fire, dealing magic damage each time it bounces. If a target is ablaze, Pyroclasm will prioritize champions for the next bounce." It says that it prioritizes a champion for the next bounce if a target is ablaze, but when I ultimate someone, it goes back to a minion and keeps doing so.

                                                          Plz send help - Brand

first off, the target might not be ablaze. they need to be hit by one of Brand's spells to be set ablaze, and it only lasts for a few seconds. Also, the champion might not even be in range for the Pyroclasm to bounce to. If you want to learn more, look it up on a site like the LoL Wiki.

The target WAS ablaze and I'm pretty sure he was in range of my ult.

Two things:

  1. More important

If the target is ablaze, Pyroclasm will prioritize champions for the next bounce.

It sounds like you ulted your lane opponent, who was ablaze. Normally, if there's an enemy champ nearby, they'll be targeted because your previous target was ablaze. But there wasn't another enemy around, so it bounced to a minion. The minion was not ablaze, so it didn't prioritize your lane opponent for the next bounce.

  1. Less important: it's possible that the enemy walked out of range as your ult was bouncing to a minion - brand's ult bounce range is not actually that far. I was playing him a lot last week on free week, and I can't tell you how many times I ulted the enemy frontline, thinking it would just bounce back, only to have it not bounce a single time.
