So I have been wanting to play Zed since he came out but for me, he is a very, VERY, hard champion for me to play. Yes, i know, some people will say that Zed is a super easy champ but for me, he isn't and i would like to ask anybody that plays Zed a lot, or at least knows how to play him, if you know any tips that you can give to me because he looks like a lot of fun but i never do good with him. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

When chasing somebody, you want to go W-E-W, rather than W-W-E. The reason for this is that his shadow E has a slow, but Zed's E doesn't. Similarly, when harassing somebody with your shadows, going W-E-Q will make your shuriken easier to hit.

Like Rappel or Alpha Strike, Death Mark allows you to dodge pretty much everything if you can time it correctly. One of the reasons Zed is so difficult to 1v1 is that, with proper timing, he can essentially negate most champion's most powerful abilities. Going into a game, think about the champions you're playing against, and if any of them have abilities that it'd be worth using Death Mark on. If the enemy team has a Vi or Fizz, consider holding on to your ult until they've used theirs.

Also, it's incredibly important to use Tab to monitor your enemy's itemization. Once somebody buys Zhonya's or QSS, you can't use your ultimate on them (until they've used their actives, at least). Getting Zhonya's baited is pretty much the worst thing that can happen to you as Zed. Keeping tabs on enemy summoner/item cooldowns will let you target much more effectively in teamfights.

Honestly what you have to do is play him a lot. Also try learning LeBlanc at the same time I main both of them and since their abilities are similar you end up getting good at both. I have 100+ ranked games on both Champs and I feel like I barley getting good at them. It takes a lot of time to learn when to change on to what shadow. If possible try to ult from bushes making it easier for you to escape. Just keep playing him don't give up. Nothing more rewarding then when you get one of your enemies to sat they are prema banning zed because of you. Despite him being so weak in the current meta.

For me, the main problem with playing Zed is that you always have to make sure what your fingers are doing. If you want to do your combo to just harass and accidentally press W twice you can get yourself in a pretty sticky situation. Similar to Malzahar's ultimate which can be accidentally cancelled by you pretty easily if you don't pay attention. And this is also a problem with Zed's ult: you have to do two things: 1) know exactly how long your ult shadow lasts so you can disengage at the last second; 2) make sure not to accidentally press R while your ult is running.
