Who would like a Chogath Rework?

Chogath Q is unreliable his w doesn't have a solid range his vorpal spikes are underwhelming and his ult is an additional smite only acquired at level 6. How is this a good kit beats me yes it has worked in the past but now it's hardly viable what can we do any thoughts and opinions are welcome. Have a wonderful day summoners!

I feel like Cho'Gath's kit is interesting, but needs some fixing. I disagree with his ult being an "additional smite", considering it can hit champions. The only thing about Cho'Gath is that his kit is kind of... random. His Q is an AOE knock-up. His W is a silence that does some damage. Cool. His E is a basic attack modifier. Okay. His ult is a close-ranged nuke? His kit leaves me confused whether to get close to people or not. He's built either as a mage or a tank. He's a bit strange, but he's still viable. His CC is great, his tankiness is off-the-charts, and he's pretty strong too. His kit just needs a bit of editing.

I don't think he needs a rework, if anything they just need to give him some QoL buffs. His Q is a skill shot so if missed of course its gonna be useless; if you hit it, it's an aoe knockup with a slow. Pretty good CC especially with an aoe silence. However, the range on his silence does seem kind of off compared to the animation; like you see it hit but don't see it take effect. Other than that give him a VU so he seems more terrifying on SR.

Overall, I think the kit is balanced. I find myself making great plays as Cho'Gath, but when I mess up, I can be punished for it. He has counterplay for his opposition, great sustain, and tanky enough to soak up a lot of it. Your analysis demeans the Voidborn behemoth. Would I like a rework, yes. Does Cho'Gath urgently need a new one? No. He needs a Visual Update beforehand. Maybe a 2015 project?

His kit works fine, just not in the league of mobility and early power meta. He lacks both of those, but makes it up later in my experience.

Also, how's smiting an enemy champion sound? They sure taste funny.

He needs Quality of Life buffs.

-He's not much fun to play compared to other champions (because of bad mobility and badly designed skill shot delays.) -His shots are clunky as hell -His kit is super Schizophrenic, his Q and W mage style makes sense even if their delays are stupid, but the melee abilities with NO power or incentive to get into melee is a joke, he's better off running around in a circle with FH slowing things while he spams CC, and camping his ADC until someone dives so he can ult them. -His passive is badly designed, very badly designed. It's a passive that either A) is TOTALLY useless when he gets bulled out or when late game hits. B) makes him pointless to bother harassing, and you'll only make progress by going all-in.

Cho'Gath main here (admittedly could use some work on my play). I honestly think he's fairly balanced. If you play well, against most meta top laners, you're going to be okay, and against some of the squishier ones, you're just going to outright win. His passive is fantastic for sustain, allowing him to tank a lot more damage than you would think, assuming you CS. Assuming you've leveled your silence or have landed a knockup and auto-attack with leveled Es, you have a lot of damage.

See a trend? He rewards playing him well. He's balanced around you being able to utilize his passive and use his damage.

I would say he isn't perfect, though. He's slow. Painfully slow. If you're chasing and haven't built movespeed beyond boots, you're likely going to be outrun by most champions and not be able to land a Q. And if you DO land a Q, you often can't move fast enough to body block or silence for your team to follow up. That in mind, he only really works in teams that already have hard initiation (eg Leona). He has fantastic follow up, since the q is very easy to land against enemies already under other people's initiation, but compared to other champions that work reasonably on EVERY team composition, he can be a bit underclassed towards the late game.

If he needs anything at all, I'd say he needs movespeed. A flat movespeed buff might just be overpowered, but maybe a light boost on his Q.
