Akali Tips...?

So, I just got Akali for 3150 IP, and I think I'm pretty fine, but I'd like to see if I could get any tips from YOU guys, the fantabulous community!

Also, I have a question: Should I feel free to abuse my R's charges to harass and escape everything like a kewl cool ninja and secure the escapees? Also, sets a scenario - In a teamfight.. should I use my charges to dash to the escapees at the back of the enemy team or should I help out with the main fight before taking the squishies on? In other words, how do I utilize my R in teamfights and laning phase?

How do I use my Shroud correctly? Do I use it when I'm getting attacked, so the MR and Armor give me durability? Should I use it with conjunction with my R? Do I use it to trick people with the brush?

Also... How should I get farm and what should be my skill order? R > Q > E > W?

Thankies in advance to anyone who answers!

Akali's W is really useful, as it also provides vision for her. When being chased into the jungle, dump your shroud over a wall and ult to a monster that is revealed. Really handy for escapes. Putting the shroud next to brush also helps juke enemies. Use it at every engage, as the extra armor and mr may help you live. Having it on when some global ults are used (e.g Karthus reqiuem) might let you stay alive Your Q is your main harass and farm tool. If possible, keep the Mark on the enemy laner as much as possible. It makes them wary to go near you, as you deal extra damage. If they come into range of your E, use it to proc the mark. The good thing is that it doesn't trigger minion aggro. When free farming with Akali, the fastest way is to get all the minions low and finish them off with one E. Your R charges have quite low cooldowns, so feel free to use them whenever. Usually when I hit 6, I recall and grab my Hextech revolver, then come back to lane with 3 charges, and either kill the enemy mid-laner, or push the lane and roam bot for kills. You have to remember that as Akali, you are an assassin. Stick to the sides of the battle and let your tanks initiate. Once all the enemy CC is used, or when you feel you are relatively safe, dive to the back and kill their carries. The best combo for Akali would be Q-> wait for Q to come off cooldown-> R->auto->Q->auto. Repeating this will usually net you a kill. The reason I use auto's instead of E is because I like building Lich Bane on Akali, but feel free to replace them with E's. I hope this helped, and have fun playing Akali xD

Personally, I rush a hextech gunblade to have any sustain, and then in no particular order, rabadons, lichbane, and zhonya's/dfg. I usually go for a nashors tooth to maximize on hit damage, and a void staff thrown in when they start to build MR or as a 3rd/4th item

Contrary to most thoughts, I rush the cutlass portion of hextech before vamp, as i find i am usually still laning by that point and can use the sustain.

You NEED to make sure you never initate a teamfight. Feel free to use your ult to gapclose to squishies, but make sure that you either will get a kill with the charge, or still have one to chase a fleeing enemy. skill order is something like R>Q>E>W.

I like to get a second point in my q at level 3( Q>W>Q) And then get my e. Reason being, her level one q is weak, and her w, while its upgrading does almost nothing, is essential to avoid jungler ganks.

I usually wait on my team to initiate a fight, and use up most of the hard cc, as it shuts akali down pat. I dont play aggressive in lane until 6, because akali needs her ult to have any kill potential, unless you are playing in toplane, and the toplaner is terrible.

Make sure to harass with a R>Q>E/AA combo in lane, to keep from maxing shadow charges. Once you begin full scale teamfights, i reccomend keeping charges maxed if you think one will break out soon, as the 3rd charge all but guarantees a charge reset from kills.

Akali has a VERY strong roam post 6, and you should take advantage of this if your lane is clear.

Asking for a jungler gank, and making sure you get the kill with ult is a good way to snowball your lane
