Yasuo ult

Hello, I played a lot of games with yasuo. He is also my most used champion in ranked. The one problem I had with him is that his ult range and the arrows for the ult. I know there had been changes with his ult but sometimes ult doesn't trigger, even though I am in the range. For example, top champion(malphite) hits it's ult, I get the arrow for 3 people, I try to ult and nothing happens. The situations like this wasted my friend's ult also got my teammates to die. I am 100% sure I was in the range and I clicked couple times just to make sure if it didn't accept it. I was wondering if this is a common problem? Or just me? Also a suggestion would be, if I am not in the range to ult but close to that ult range the arrow for the knock ups shouldn't show so I don't try to hit r multiple times.
