Rare Skins

Hello, i'd like to say my thought about something that has come up in one of my shower thoughts. My friend has been playing league for 3 years and he has encounters so many rare skins and different skin events. He bought a lot of them and would always brag. I would get jealous because they're rare. I always wished to have them, but i knew i couldn't. People who witnessed these events are lucky and should feel special because they have been supporting league for a long time. Those skins prove things mentally.

Now all of a sudden the skins are reappearing. [exmp. TPA skins, Christmas skins, April Fools] When they came out they were special not many people had them. Now they are everywhere. They came out again cheap. The skins are very cheap to have been rare. I think that they should not reappear skins. Yes, i know that some people want them, but what about the people who played this game for a long time and saw the skins come out. It kind of makes me mad how skins that use to be rare are coming back out and for cheap.

Just please consider reappearing skins; at least raise the RP price.

                                                                  Please give responses. Sincerely,
                                                                                                  FoldingStepStool![Soraka](https://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/16.11.1/img/champion/Soraka.png)

Also some things to note, just because Limited Skins returned to become Legacy Skins, does not mean that there are not Rare Skins out there. For example:

  • Silver Kayle: You could only obtain this skin by purchasing the League of Legends CD-ROM, which is now discontinued.
  • Goth Annie: Goth Annie used to be bundled with Silver Kayle, however, Goth Annie can now be purchased through the Digital Collector's Pack in the client.
  • Human Ryze & Black Alistar: These skins could only be obtained by preording the League of Legends CD-ROM, which is now discontinued.
  • Urfwick: Back when Riot wanted to release Urf as a champion, the famed Warwick had other plans. He slaughtered the mighty manatee and wore his pelt as a skin. During this time, you could purchase the Urfwick skin for 5000 RP, which was later reduced to 50 RP. Now, Urfwick remains a skin locked away for good.
  • The Victorious Skins: Awarded to players that achieved Gold or higher at the end of a League Season, the victorious skins are amazing decals to some of the greatest champions and players out there. Currently, there are three Victorious skins, including Victorious Jarvan IV, Janna, and Elise.
  • The Championship Skins: Continuing on with end of season rewards, Summoners can purchase these skins at the end of the League seasons, after which they will not be sold again. They were started at the end of Season 2. Currently, there are two Championship skins, including Championship Thresh and Riven.
  • The PAX Skins: Given out to the lucky summoners who have attended PAX, these skins are rare as they come. They cannot be bought on the League of Legends client. These skins include PAX Jax, Twisted Fate, and Sivir.
  • The RIOT Skins: Often given out at large events and sold on the client at rare times, Riot's shameless and ironic self promoting skins are still some of the greatest. There are currently four Riot skins, which include Riot Squad Singed, Riot Graves, Nasus, and Blitzcrank.
  • Grey Warwick: If you're truly devoted to League of Legends, you will recruit at least 25 friends to play along side you. If you do, Riot thanks you with the Grey Warwick skin.
  • Medieval Twitch: Designed by two Summoners that achieved tons of referrals, Medieval Twitch was a creation of the community. Similar to Grey Warwick, you have to recruit some friends to get your hands on this skin. Just refer 50 friends and you'll have Medieval Twitch!
  • Triumphant Ryze: Riot sanctioned events are tough as nails. Fierce competition between Summoners and teams, even more so than your average ranked match. Triumphant Ryze is given to the those strong enough to overcome their adversaries in a Riot sanctioned tournament. If you see a player with this skin, know they mean business.
  • King Rammus: If you were one of the dedicated few who played the League of Legends beta, you definitely deserve a reward, right? Well here it is. King Rammus is honestly a simple recolor to make Rammus look like King Koopa (Bowser) from the Mario franchise, but hey, its rare.
  • Judgement Kayle: This given skin was given to dedicated Season 1 League of Legends players and will not be given again.
  • Rusty Blitzcrank: Oh boy... Classified as the worst skin of all time, Rusty Blitzcrank is an ugly skin that frankly no one wants. That being said, it is the only Legacy skin to never come back to the store, and it never will.
  • UFO Corki: This little treasure is only available to those who created their accounts before the date of January 14th 2010 to buy the skin or purchase the IGN and Gamespy Reader's Choice 2009 magazine.

Of course there's all the Limited and Legacy skins floating around out there. There's also the expensive Ultimate skins of Spirit Guard Udyr and Pulsefire Ezreal. Unlike most of the aforementioned rare skins, you can be Mystery Gifted these ones. There's still a lot of rare skins out there! You can always check out rare skin websites that sell some of these, for a hefty price. See you out there, fellow Summoner!

Aside from the fact Riot has posted the slight bonuses for the original users (You guys get your RP refund to purchase more rare skins like the Winter Sivir and Lulu skins this year >.>) While I do not like the fact that they are no longer considered "Very Rare" they are still rare as they are no longer able to purchase at this time. If Riot had allowed all the skins to stay available to purchase I would have to question that but they didn't and that's fine by me and there are plenty of new players everyday that have missed them so you can still feel proud to show off those skins along with your icon and border. I'm quite impressed at how they're not releasing the PAX and Riot skins as well just to keep the seniority of veterans and hardcore fans of League of Legends. You get what I mean? ^_^

I agree, but then again you to remember that this is a game, and Riot needs money. In the future they are probably going to make a "buy all the champions for $30" When people start to stop using League of Legends, or when something bigger comes out.

Now I don't think this will be anytime soon, years away. But it's inevitable. I just hope that it stay popular, like WoW :D

I would just like to point out, Championship Thresh is not limited. It was mentioned that the Thresh skin would be legacy I do believe? Not limited. In order to clear up confusion they specifically stated that; however, they said Championship Riven was INDEED limited. I'm really hoping they keep their word on the Championship Riven skin. I rarely see people with it, and I'm proud to say I have it unlike a lot of the other "used to be rare" skins. When I got my TPA skins last year I was thrilled, and two years ago my Head Mistress Fiora and my Slay Belle Katarina meant a ton to me, I hadn't a clue they would be re-released so soon after they came out. I mean I could see it in 2-3 years maybe, but the very next Halloween and Christmas they came out.
