Why did you not give him Bag pipes of awesome? Hes scottish, i prayed that you would make his Dance him pull out a Bagpipe (like Yasuo pulls out a flute), and just PLAYYY that BEAUTIFUL SOUND. DAT GOD GRACIOUS BEAUTIFUL BAG PIPE SOUND.

Please make a Skin in the Future (could be octobefest) where he Pulls out a Bagpipe and just plays it indefinitely. Have different tunes. HES SCOTTISH DAMMIT!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39-UQ1Urvo4 I see Braum and it brings back Childhood memories of the Scotsman From Samurai Jack, playing his damn, beautiful Bagpipes.... and kicking asss

Seeing his abilities, I just can't help but think of how awesome it would be if you guys made a skin based on Captain America!

RiotRiot JinoMay 6, 201422 votes

Captain Avarosan Braum confirmed :D

AlexWCMay 6, 201413 votes

Can Braum please have the quote "Like a good neighbor, Braum is there," pretty please? I think it really fits into his personality and is a bit of a pop-culture reference that many people will enjoy (state farm insurance, the name itself is fitting because Braum is from/lives on a farm). He can say this when he dashes to a teammate!

Maybe this idea could even become an "Insurance Agent Braum" skin or something (with possible product tie-ins with the companies themselves)? Braum literally covers teammates when they mess up. "That is Braum's stand. Are you in good hands?"

Here are a couple skin ideas for you... War of the Northern Front Braum, basically dressed up like a Cossack. Swedish Massage Braum, Yup...Braum in nothing but a towel, swinging a massage table around. Gentleman Braum, which I believe has already been mentioned. Strongman Braum, your classic carnival/circus favorite. How about a WWII themed fighter pilot entitled "Braums Away"? Have him use a wing tip or a bomb for a shield.

Soooo.......yeah, I was bored lol.

RiotRiot JinoMay 6, 201417 votes

lol. i am saving these ideas for later skin ideation meeting :)

JCubbonMay 6, 20149 votes

who is Braum's voice actor?

Thams Me AbrinMay 6, 20148 votes

Will Braum have any interaction with Volibear? Be it a special taunt or anything.

TerraRisingMay 6, 20147 votes

What were the inspirations behind Braum's look?

There appears to be a heavy influence from a certain animation series from Japan.

RiotThe Bravo RayMay 6, 20149 votes

Braum's look had many influences from different popular archetypes ranging from movies, games and anime.

We really wanted to hit the strong man, yet jovial thematic, while giving him a look that was unique to league.

OH NO ITS LU BUMay 6, 20147 votes

Ummmmmmmm how much of it was also Angus the puncher and lu bu

TrylobyteMay 6, 20147 votes

Is the fact he's wearing a quintessence as a belt buckle intentional or is that a symbol that means something outside the context of rune pages?

ThalesMay 6, 20147 votes

Braum's VO is incredibly rich and expansive, a step up from anything we've seen yet, including legendary and ultimate skins. Can we expect to see this level of care and sheer amount of content for future champion releases and visual updates?

RiotRiot JinoMay 6, 20147 votes

Yes.. We will always try to add more contents and new stuffs for future champions. (Aniamtion, VFX, model and sound)

lorewiseMay 6, 20146 votes

One of my favorite authors is Nietzsche. Any chance we will see a skin based on one of the West's most influential philosophers? Was Braum's appearance in any way inspired by him?

PILTOVERS FlNESTMay 6, 20147 votes

Man I thought this skin was well on its way already! Gentleman Braum fits his personality so well!

RiotThe Bravo RayMay 6, 201422 votes

I am curious how he would look in a suit myself? (how would he fit?) but what to do with the make of his shield? Any thoughts? Either way I think it is a good idea!

RUE PapasmurfMay 6, 20148 votes

I would think something along the lines of James Bond grabbing a serving plate off a table... a huge over-sized serving plate shield!

Ryne1995May 6, 201427 votes

You could make the shield a gold and wood plaque that said Freljord Gentleman Society or something along that line

GildedCreedMay 6, 20144 votes

To be honest, I could see him holding a "family coat of arms". Typically it's a shield with the "family crest" on it (which would be nice to use the Ashe summoner icon image, since he's allied with Ashe's faction).

Moonpie SamaMay 6, 201412 votes

What about pool party Braum, the shield is a boogie board.

Megas XLR CoopMay 6, 20146 votes

As far as I can tell, Braum is the first champion to receive item specific quotes upon purchasing them from the fountain. Along with quotes upon activating recall and successfully completing it.

Was this something that you had thought about doing in the past for an previously released champions? Will we see more champions that will receive this kind of additional VO quotes or is this specific to Braum's character type?

darth penutMay 6, 20146 votes

If Braum was to get another skin what direction would riots design team head with? Can you think of anything you know you want to see him come out with?

RiotRiotLamzMay 6, 201417 votes

I vote for wrestler Braum! just like hollywood Hogan but he would carry a half smashed table instead of shield :)

TheSamuraiLishMay 7, 20143 votes

I'm not sure that a Hollywood Braum wood work considering you have a Vandal Gragas that already has the vest and bandanna. Just my two cents, but either way you guys have a better idea of what's going on.

iPaulosMay 6, 20146 votes

I really love how Braum looks. Great job on him :)
I have one question. Does movement animation with Poro strolling on Braum's shield have any special condition to occur or it's random? If it's random, frequency seems a bit to low.

RiotRiotLamzMay 6, 201413 votes

The little easter egg that we had to remove, it ended up effecting gameplay and if Braum is ever used in the LCS this could be a serious distraction :( It was set to be random and only occurred like once every 1000 clicks.

ThalesMay 6, 20146 votes

In what way is this a distraction? For Kha and Pulsefire Ezreal, isn't the sporadic flight in their walking animations a much bigger deal?

iPaulosMay 6, 20148 votes

That explains why I saw it like 3 times. Oh well, now I'm sad. What about smuggling it as idle animation?

FinalFlareMay 6, 20146 votes

So Alex Louis Armstrong is one inspiration for Braum, So why does Braum not flex and sparkle like Armstrong. http://www.ainself.net/space/glint/fma/alex-sparkle.jpg

Junsui AoiMay 6, 20145 votes

How long did it take to go from designing him in idea and sketches to the finished product? Was he based on any community suggestions? :)

RiotThe Bravo RayMay 6, 201423 votes

Braum took a fair amount of time to get him where he needed to be thematically. He actually started off as a female support character.

As time went on, we always make time to listen to our player, we knew that we needed another male support.

So it was decided, to change gears and make the most manly support in league!

Of course this meant he had to have a mustache and muscles to spare.

AlexWCMay 6, 20148 votes

Of coarse this meant he had to have a mustache and muscles to spare.

And Braum does puns of damage

u4ia dreamsMay 6, 201422 votes

First offical gender swap skin?

PurodyuusaaMay 6, 20145 votes

Are there any plans to recycle the original female support for a later champion?

YamazuyaMay 6, 20145 votes

What was the reason for giving Braum a sort of Eastern European accent? None of the other Freljord champs thus far have had one.

SharkbaitBruhahaMay 6, 20144 votes

Is there a reson his unbreakable shield has a horn broken off of the ram?

Aside from that I think he looks awesome!

OH NO ITS LU BUMay 6, 20144 votes

The lore states the shield wad originally a door Braum was trying to destroy to save a child

GaleWinUnleashedMay 6, 20146 votes

But the issue here is that it was made very clear that the door was indestructible. Perhaps the horn was broken off before the door was enchanted, or maybe just the main slab cannot be damaged. Maybe the enchantment is wearing off?

RiotThe Bravo RayMay 6, 201415 votes

Yes I can see how that may be a little confusing.

It was designed that way for interest and to help break the silhouette of the shield from game height. It adds a nice story telling element that helps provide visual interest.

We also thought it gave a little story, how did it break off if was supposedly unbreakable?
