Black Screen in Champ Select

I was duoing with a buddy and we entered a normal game and when my screen loaded over to the champ select, it completely went black and I was unable to do anything. There was no sound to it, nothing. The bottom bar for the chat and friends list was still there and active, but other than that, I could do nothing besides exit and abandon the game or abandon it by not being able to select a champion.
