I can't open League of legends basically. I tried restarting. Do I have to delete and reinstall?

Same here (pc-user). Been looking at the opening logo for ~5 hours. Deleting various folders (RADS etc.) didnt fix it, reinstalling & reinstalling+registry cleanup didn't fix, hextech repair tool didn't do anything.

I've contacted the support and currently waiting for response.

After trying everything read everywhere. I tried something read on another thread that FINALLY worked for me. I have simply deleted the file that contains replays and highlights "for me it was in my.document/Leagueoflegends". After restarting the computer, it just simply worked.

Huh ... I must be the odd one out, my MacBook Pro is running League fine. I do have the new software update though, could that be part of it?

Go to: C drive > Users > (username) > Documents > League of Legends and delete the entire League of Legends folder.

Note:* Doing this will delete your highlights/replays (which are stored in this folder). If you would like to keep your highlights/replays, just move the entire League of Legends folder to a different location like your desktop. This will have the same effect as deleting it.

I GOT LEAGUE TO WORK. After spending a few hours with customer service we couldn’t not figure out what was wrong. The work around: he sent me a copy of his fully patched League of Legends 12 GB folder. I Unzipped it and ran the client application as an administrator and it worked. TL:DR Get a patched League of Legends folder from a friend

Opening the client while disconnected from the internet somehow worked for me.

Try opening the Activity Monitor application and force quit any LoL apps that are still showing (this is different than doing force quit the normal way). Then try opening LoL again.

PS - I've been having off-and-on and problems with LoL on the Mac for a long time now. The support team has been pretty good at helping me resolve some things but I still have frequent issues. Glad to hear I'm not alone.
