opening league causes entire computer to crash and require manual restart since 5.5

Every time i've opened league in the past 2-3 weeks it just freezes my computer and requires a manual restart. I have completely reinstalled and it changed nothing. Is riot aware of this? I've seen a grand total of zero riot responses on this subject while i've seen tons on champion mastery, rito plz

edit: running on windows 8.1 so this isn't the windows 10 bullshit i think.

I fixed it buddy :), you need to open up league of legends as administrator :D and thats it :)

You literally need to leave it alone once it freezes.

The client will only freeze for 20-30 seconds, then go back to normal.

EDIT; This will cause you're entire computer to freeze, just let the freeze happen and don't restart. I was having the same problem.
