Shyvana passive isn't affected by elder Dragons??

It's understandable that Riot doesn't want Shyv to be able to unlimitedly scale armor and magic resist from dragons. However, once elder spawns, there is no way to build her passive. The passive description makes it seem like it should be any dragon her team kills. Possible overlooked bug? Or was this intentional?
