In game, but not in game?

okay so i was playing mid lane perfectly fine then all of a sudden my connection hits 500 ping and i disconnect. So the first thing i do is tab out of the game to check my internet and make sure everything is good which it was. Then i tried to leave the game and rejoin thinking maybe that would fix it. Boy was that a mistake! It didnt even give me the option to join so i went to op gg to see if it still had me in a game which it did. So now im just at a loss since im in a game but im not in a game anymore. Like hello?
