Summoner Name Change bug

So about 4 months ago i changed my summoner name but nobody could see my new name. Actually, my friend and i both changed our names at the same time and i'd still see his old name on my friend list. Whenever i hover him in the list it doesn't load the window with more details and i couldn't check his profile from there. Same goes with me, everybody on my list sees my old summoner name instead of the new one. One friend suggested removing then adding and it did work but i really don't feel like removing and adding 100 people again.

This is happening on the legacy client btw. On the new client its showing the old name in the list but when i try to view the profile of the person with the changed name, it takes me to his account with the changed name.

I'm kinda surprised nobody noticed this or that this didn't get addressed yet since i have stated this bug in every feedback survey you put out.

same thing for me, I thought that was normal, so your friends know who you are, but 2 months have passed and my friend still shows as his old IGN on my friend list...

I changed my name twice this past week or so. The biggest bug I saw is that the IP cost is 13,900

I got the same problem. I changed my name nearly 1 mounth ago and my friends still see me with my old one. However, one my friend changed his name and I see his new on since the first day. I don't understand why there is such problem unsloved from such a long time.
