Yorick's W w/AA Reset Interaction

I was in a game against Yorick tonight and I was playing Darius. I'm unsure of the circumstances of this interaction but I will do my best to describe it: I was trading with Yorick and he correctly caught me inside his W ability, then hit me with E. As his creeps went on me, I was creepblocked and then wedged between the position of his creeps and the left half of his W's circle. As I auto'd the wall the first time, it received damage, but when I attempted to hit it again with W (for the AA reset) instead of applying damage and breaking free, the animation of my W repeated itself multiple times applying no damage to the wall, nor the creeps inside it had it simply been a misclick. Has anyone had this kind of interaction with Yorick before? I believe it's a possible bug and will do my best to recreate the scenario and report back.
