[game play] Sivir shield doesn't absorb Q from Lucian

hi, just a report to say that the shield (E) from sivir don't absorb ALWAYS the Q from lucian.

Pay attention, we tried several time and sometime it absorb the damages and sometimes it absorb (u get the mana) but u got the damage from Piercing light too ! . i only try it in howling abyss and 5v5 and the bugs occured only in 5v5 (for us) . But i let you do all the test needed !

the spell was directly put on sivir (not by "Q a creep and hitting sivir") so you have to try it too :D

ty for fixing it because absorbing a spell save ur life often!

I've seen this on ARAM quite a few times against a variety of champs. I think the bug might be in the shield logic itself and tied to a specific champion.

I believe it to be, because it is physical damage. Sivir puts a SPELL SHIELD on, absorbing the magical damage. Physical damage isnt. ITs why you can still burst a morganna down even though her spell shield is up . If you notice it absorbs a spell. So when your versus somebody like a blitzcrank an he grabs your butt, it is magical damage + based off AP. Hence a Spell. I believe this is why.

If you get targeted by Q, you block it. If he targets something else and hits you, you don't block it.

Sounds like something that should be fixed for all champions with spell shield. I wonder how Banshee's Veil works against Lucian, then.

Did you try activating the shield pre-cast or only to block damage? It's possible this is a "zilean bomb" kinda bug where if you had spell shield up before the bomb was cast, it was negated, but if you already had the bomb on you it was too late.
