Client bugging on MacBook Air, Riot please help

Before I start off, my macbook has never ever given me trouble with league. My fps goes as high as 40 and my my ping is 30, considering I use a macbook air I think thats good. Anyways, got back from my last day of school excited for the missions and such and then when I log in this is what it says: A patch was unable to download to your hard drive. This error is usually caused by not having enough room on your disk for the download. Please ensure that your computer has at least 8 GB of free space on the drive where league is installed and that you have the necessary permissions to write on the drive.

what the fuck.....? My laptop has always done great with patches, no errors. I saw that this was a bug a lot of people were dealing with. So please riot fix this before mission are over, this is something I was really looking forward to.

I know I have more than 8 GB and even when I deleted A LOT of stuff from my laptop, same thing happened.

Basically I don't know if this is juts for MY laptop or if it's something else, I can't update my laptop and that shouldn't be the problem though.
