Weird Stats-screen glitch

As you might know, sometimes there's this thing after you end a game, where the loading of the stats doesnt work right/is slow, and it says "Skip waiting for stats." (ex. picture) This occured to me today, but I just clicked it since that's what I normally do. About 10 minutes later, I joined a lobby with my friend, because we were gonna play a ranked game. We joined the queue and went into champ select. About 15 seconds after we joined the champ select, the stats screen suddenly popped up, and I was completely out of champ select. My friend (and presumably also the other people) were still in champ select. I've never seen this happen before. I tried everything, but I couldnt get back into the champ select. Luckily I didn't have any LP to lose, but I still had to wait 30 minutes before I could play again.

This all happened about 30 minutes ago.

Does anyone have an explanation on what this is?
