Usb ports resetting

Ever since the new map came out my friends laptop as well as my own has had an issue with our usb ports periodically disconnecting. It only happens while in league but my mouse, gamepad, and headset will all suddenly disconnect and a few seconds later my laptop will make the noise for when new devices get connected. Ive tried turning off any power saving feature on my ports but it made no difference; I'd appreciate any advice on how to fix this or on how to get the proper information to report this bug more accurately.
