cant reconnect

i was in a ranked game and it suddenly said attempting to reconnect. it was not a problem with my internet as i was in discord talking to a friend and i had not disconnected. i tried leaving the game and re-loging into league and it has just said authenticating for the last 10 minuets. i have never had this problem before.
