[Client] Computer Crashing After Login/At Main Menu

So I haven't been on in some time. Booting up my computer last night I downloaded the most recent patch (5.15.15_08_04_21_06). Everything is all well and good until I log in. I put in my username and password as usual and it patches me through to the main menu. At first I thought everything was just loading. While some of the basic framing loaded up, none of the menu visuals popped up. Wondering what was going on I went to exit out. I couldn't. And I also couldn't click on anything else on my entire desktop. Frustrated I manually rebooted my computer and tried logging in again. Same thing happened again. No blue screen. Just a frozen screen.

Fixes I have attempted:

  1. Uninstalling and then reinstalling
  2. Running as administrator
  3. Running a compatibility check
  4. Repairing the game via League Settings on the launch menu

None of these have worked. Help please?

I have had kind of the same issue. My Fix is at the bottom of the post (because I wrote all that while trying all that). I log in and after that I see the window of the game with the two lines up and down (up one with "League of Legends 5.15.15_08_04_21_06" and minimize and exit buttons and down one with just the blue-black background). In-between them it just stays black and nothing loads.

NOTE: At some point unrelated to what I've tried to fix the issue I got the animation for getting a reward (the GP skin I suppose) and that was the only indication whatsoever that something happens after login screen.

What I've tried:

  1. Reinstall the game (uninstall and then install)
  2. Run as Administrator and as user on every further try
  3. Run the game with and without nVidia graphics (I'm on laptop and have the intel integrated video as well)
  4. Update nVidia drivers (340.52 to 341.44)
  5. Running a compatibility check
  6. Turning Firewall off
  7. Changing ISP (Mobile phone hotspot)
  8. I looked angrily at the screen Olaf (didn't help much)

After all that I tried the "Repairing the game via League Settings on the launch menu" step. I didn't do it till then because i didn't know it existed. xD An then, after thousands of files scanned, few additional megabytes were downloaded and voila, everything went back to normal. I suggest you try it again and if it doesn't work... Well, let's hope it works.
