In-game tildes on Mac [CLIENT]
Any attempts at typing tildes in the in-game chat have failed. If one types out "glhf~" it will come out as "glhf". I have also tried copy-pasting it into the game, which has failed. I have confirmed with another League player that also plays on the same kind of computer and OS X I do, and he has the same problem. There have also been other bug reports with an identical problem that have been up for months. Tildes can be typed in the client chat (when you are not in the game and are just chatting with the chat windows) without a problem.
In order to recreate it, you would have to enter a game on a Mac computer and attempt typing tildes into the chat (to All, Team or PM). It has an occurrence rate of 100%. I have tried typing tildes on 10+ different champions, along with on both Howling Abyss and Summoner's Rift, and this has had no effect on my success rate.
For the sake of posterity, I used to play on an Asus G56JR running Windows 8 and never encountered this problem. I now play on a Macbook Pro Retina from 2013 that runs OS X Yosemite 10.10.3. I suspect it is a only a problem for those running OS X, but I am not sure if it is only for a particular computer version of OS X.
