2 DC cause us to lose

I and another player on my team were disconnected at the beginning of a league match, I assumed servers may have been under maintenance so I didn't worry, however, after checking the server status and realizing that they were still up, I realized I needed to connect back as soon as possible. Nothing was wrong with my internet at the time of the disconnection due to the fact that my music, playing from a youtube live stream, was still streaming and I was able to refresh my internet browser. I have no idea what the problem was but by the time I was able to join back, the game was already over. I am a little irritated and in need of an explanation.
