My IP (influence points) randomly reduce?

I made a post on the wrong section like a couple hours ago. Explaining how I will play a game and get IP but its been super buggy like in my fail post I said I had 7733 IP and I played a game right after I made the post and I shot up to 8080 IP and then literally as soon as I log back in just now its been reduced to 7827. This has been happening since last Friday. I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
