Xerath Bug

I recently played a game with Xerath, and it was strange because I never have high ping, and my ping was normal all game except when I used my Q as Xerath. I could use all other abilities with not ping spikes, but every time I used my Q, it would spike up to 1500. Please fix this as I want to practice my Xerath!!
