No Mastery Token Bug

After having a wonderful time on an ARAM game i ended up getting an S- on Irelia. I was not able to attain a level 6 matters token from this game. I thought you attain an a mastery token for any of your level 5 mastered champions if you get an S-, S, or S+ for a level 6 mastery token. And need an S or S+ for mastery 7 tokens. Please Help me out here.

You cannot obtain mastery level 6/7 tokens on ARAM, TT, or any rotating game modes, even if you get the appropriate grade. You can only obtain them on normal and ranked SR matches.

That makes no sense. I obtained rank 6 on a rotating map. Right now i'm doing Ascension and though I've received 3 S rankings I have not received a single token. Same sort of rotating map, just the new one for this week. Sounds like a pretty big bug to me.
