Banshees veiled Twisted Fate gold card interrupting charging Sion Q

I was playing an aram and purchased banshees veil, was charging up my q, about to kill their TF, when he gold carded me. The banshees veil procced correctly and i was not stun, but my charging Q was abruptly stopped, no damage or anything.
