What is going on with PVP.net?

What is going on with PVP.net? Everytime I attempt to get into a game- during champion select I disconnect from PVP.net like 5 times in a row. Everybody already called their roles as well and were already 30 seconds in. When the game finally starts I have to re-log or else I'll just stay in champ select. I have no connection issues aside from PVP.net- (Meaning my net gear is always on, I have a 5 bar internet connection, when I actually get in game I have the normal 100 ping, and I have no viruses) so this must be a problem with Riot servers. Also, just to give background, none of this was happening to me pre-patch 5.8

Edit) Now everytime I open the League of Legends client, there is a 50% chance the client doesn't respond

Not to mention everytime I get into team builder this happens

WHAT INDEED. I've never had problems until this most recent patch. Now my game has been borked for days and no posts from riot to explain or assist. I've tried the stupid IP thing that some people report has helped, to no avail.

Very disappointing riot. Get this fixed pronto. I have lots of other things I can do with my time, wasting it on failed patching and updates is going to get old fast.

Just had that happen during my first promo game a few minutes ago. It's weird since I've already played several ranked and normal games today without issue.

Would it be too optimistic to hope that it doesn't count as a loss?

It happened to me a couple weeks ago while I was in a RANKED queue, and I lost over 20 pts because it would dodge and not connect. So mad.

I had the same problem a couple days ago and what fixed it for me was I just reinstalled the game. I also made sure that there was no conflict between my firewall and antivirus with the game. :) Hope it helped!

I am also having the same problem. I never had this issue before 5.9, and I'd really like to know that it's being addressed.

here's the fix for pvp/reconnecting: run -> services.msc STOP IP helper
