Loading limbo

Experienced a bug where I was waiting in the post champ select loading screen and a teammate was stuck on 18% loading, which is a fairly regular occurrence, so I waited a while longer and still had not connected at which point I closed and re-opened league and reconnected to the game and realized that it was my client all along and the game was already 10 minutes in. What is annoying is that the client was responsive and alt+tab worked fine so in the limbo it's impossible to tell whether it is loading or not. I think the client should load or crash- but not sit in limbo, its really misleading and there is no feedback.
