Noxian Guillotine Tooltip Display Incorrect Maximum Damage
Background I've mained Darius for a long time, and building my standard build at level 16+ I would expect Noxian Guillotine to be dealing around 1100 damage, and the tooltip would reflect this, on the ability tooltip stating a "maximum damage" (as in at 5 stacks of Hemorrhage) of the same amount, around 1100. Recently (probably within the last few weeks) I've noticed that the damage on the tooltip was far lower, often in the region of 800-900 damage, even when I was building full AD. After checking the patch notes and seeing nothing about any nerfs or changes, I noticed the actual maximum damage was still in the region of 1100. The Bug The tooltip of Noxian Guillotine will state a maximum damage substantially below that of which it will actually deal, often understating it by 200-300 damage. However, upon reaching 5 stacks of Hemorrhage and gaining Noxian Might, the tooltip will display the correct damage the ability will deal. This is misleading as it makes it harder to judge if Noxian Guillotine will actually kill the target. This is extra annoying since unlike other champions with executes, such a Pyke, Cho'Gath, Urgot, (and to some extent, Zed), Darius does not get an indicator telling him if his ultimate will kill the target or not, so knowing how much HP is in the kill zone is vital in order to get a reset. The Problem As far as I can tell, whilst not under the affect of Noxian Might, the tooltip does not account for the bonus attack damage the passive grants upon gaining it. This means that the tooltip will undershoot by [(Passive Bonus AD) x 0.75 x 2] damage. (At level 18 this is 230x0.75x2 = 345, which is exactly how much the tooltip is missing) Since in order to be able to deal the "Maximum Damage" as stated on the tooltip, Darius must have 5 stacks of Hemorrhage on an enemy champion, there is no situation in which the passive bonus damage will not be applied to the maximum damage of the ultimate. Reproducing
- Any level and build will work, however it's most noticeable with a large amount of AD and at higher levels.
- Read the Maximum damage stated on the tooltip
- Now enter Noxian Might by hitting a champion 5 times
- Read the Maximum damage again, it will be significantly higher. I have attached am image which illustrate an example of this. My Proposed Fix Whilst not under the affect of Noxian Might, the tooltip should account for the damage that will be gained by the passive where it states the move's maximum damage [(Passive Bonus AD) x 0.75 x 2]. (Although, it doesn't need to change how it calculates the max damage whilst Noxian Might is already active).
