Parley isnt blocked by Spell shield

Recently in ARAM, I noticed that GP's parley's dmg isn't blocked by Sivir's shield. Shield procs=Sivir gets mana, but dmg stays... I know that parley is somewhere between autoattack and spell, but Sivir's shield should block incoming ability, parley is used, so i guess it's an ability. But if it is not, then why does the shield give mana? One or another way, something is wrong...

It's not a spell. It is calculated as a melee auto-attack which also applies on-hit effects. Spell shields will not block it, but Fiora's Riposte and Jax' helicopter will parry it.

It's possible that if GP had a Statikk Shiv, that it popped the shield, but the "Attack" of Parrrley still hit. I'd be willing to test it when I get home.
