Tibbers and Syndra's W

I don't know if this a bug, or it actually applies. I was playing a game of ARAM against an Annie, and I played as Syndra. She had Tibbers out, and I W'd Tibbers away from a teammate. After I picked Tibbers up, I was then hit by what looked like Aery and Luden's effect. (could just be one or the other) Is this supposed to happen at all even if Tibbers has that fire shield on?

I would link the clip that I have saved, but I don't know how to actually go about that.
