LoL patcher not launching client

So, I'm sure other people are having the same issue, because it's common among all my friends, but does anyone know a potential fix for the client not popping up after you've clicked launch on the launcher? I've repaired, no dice, I've even uninstalled and re-installed, at one point I re-installed windows (for separate reasons) and decided to install it all from a blank slate, still having the same problem, it takes 1-2 tries sometimes, then other times like last night it takes 20-30 or more before the login screen pops up. It's getting to be a real bother, there's some times where i just give up trying to play because it's so annoying.

I am not 100% accurate on this, but you can try running your League of Legends in Admin mode, works for me sometimes.

C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\lol.launcher.admin.exe

For me it usually takes me between 4 and 10 attempts to get into the client! I also contacted support. All the suggestions they have are aiming to my side as the problem. funny thing is that i never had any issues with that since season 2! just started roughly after patch 4.20 i believe! i did go through all of riots suggestions. to no avail. what sometimes (not always) helps is to rightclick on the game shortcut and start as administrator. sometimes it also helps to hit alt-ctrl-del and go to processes rightclick the launcher and end the process tree and then try to start again. But in general i have to go through many attempts before it lets me log in!

This seems to happen to me after i close the client and try to reopen it anytime afterwards. Seems to me like the client is not exiting properly. LolClient.exe still shows in my task manager after I close the client.

I have found a workaround for when this does happen to me. If I launch the client from the patcher and the client doesn't show up I can open my task manager, find LolClient.exe in the process list, right-click that and select "Go to process". I can launch the file it points to manually and the client appears and works correctly. I am running Windows 7, and this might not work on Windows 8 since I know they changed the task manager a bit.

Okay, so it's been a while since I played, but now I'm having a similar if not the same problem (felt it was best to "revive" this thread rather than make a new one...). The patcher seems as if it wants to launch, but as soon as it does, it goes all black excluding the "shoulder" buttons (close, minimize, etc.), what's up guys?!

This patch and the last one have made my league unplayable, i havent been able to play a game, apart from the once.

What i did was a fresh install, deleted registries, and reinstalled lol and opened the firewall. Worked like a beauty, until i closed the client and went to sleep. The next day i had the same problem once again. Did another fresh install but this time it still does not work.

I have no idea what is going on somebody please help.

My laptop is able to run league perfectly, and my friends are not having this problem

Ive been having the same problem for a few weeks now. Its even more annoying cuz on the second time you either have to close LoLclient from Task Manager or you have to wait for the launcher to ask to terminate the already running client. I did check my adobe versions which are current too. Im pretty sure the client is still running on AdobeAir. I would love to know a fix or find that Riot has fixed it in a patch.
