Patch 5.14 - Friends list GONE and client settings issues

Hello Everyone!

So, I logged on this morning, downloaded the new patch and started playing league, and everything seemed business as usual. After playing a few games, however, I noticed some things had drastically changed: everyone in my friends list is GONE and it seems like my client was reset to its default settings. Neither of these things is a life-changing issue, I can just change my settings to how I prefer them. The big question I have is what's going on with my friends list? A good chunk of the people I had as a friends I am friends with in real life, so I can talk to them to add their IGN again, but there were people I had on my friends list who I only knew through league. Am I the only person this has happened to? I assume this kind of thing isn't intended?
