[CLIENT] Dominion "Points Captured" value not the same as before the Champion Mastery profile update

Logged on today after Champion Mastery went live and saw the new look for summoner profiles. Scrolled through my Ranked/Normal/Dom/ARAM stats and noticed that my Dominion badge for "Points Captured" was platinum instead of diamond. This didn't make sense to me, because I've had a diamond badge for that for several months. And I knew that value should've been way more than the 5000 needed for the diamond badge, not the 3627 that I was seeing on my profile.

A quick check on Lolking.net told me what was going on. I know that up to yesterday at least (prior to Champion Mastery going live), the "Points Captured" value was the sum of your captures and neutralizes. And according to Lolking, I have 3627 captures (the number on my summoner profile), as well as 2632 neutralizes, the sum of which puts me well over 6000.

I'm not sure what's going on now.

Is this simply a minor bug, and the "Points Captured" value should be displaying captures+neutralizes like it was prior to today? Or is this a change, and the "Points Captured" value is only going to be the number of points you yourself capture from now on?

tl;dr

Dominion "Points Captured" score PRE Champion Mastery release = Captures + Neutralizes Dominion "Points Captured" score POST Champion Mastery release = Captures only

Is this a bug or intentional?

I've experienced the same thing u've described, had plat badge for Points Captured and now it is lowered to the real value of points captured (lolking source), is it how it is now? Points captured only? It seems.

Whether this is a bug or not, they're only counting "Points Captured" instead of both Points Captured AND Points Neutralized. This change has brought my score down quite a few notches. I hope that this is an easy fix and they don't just ignore it. Neutralizing is as every bit as important as Capturing Points. Perhaps, even more so. For without Neutralizing the Point first, how can we even hope to Capture the Point for our team. I think I'll rest my case with that.

About 5 minutes ago, I just finished taking part in a Riot/League survey I received via email today.

And, having gotten zero response from Riot's end concerning the above Dominion score bug, I have made multiple mentions of the bug and this bug report in the various comment sections of the survey.

It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off.
