league downloading very slow

i just got a new computer and i started downloading league. my internet is pretty shit (2mb/s download) so i knew it would take a while. i just started up my client after downloading it and the rest of the download is going at 15 kb/s, at this rate league will download in 4 full days of my leaving my computer running. ik that league can download faster than this, because on my old computer it downloaded regularly. is there any fix? thanks
