Riot The People I play With and me can't talk to each other

I got on League about 6:30 and said unknown error so i am like "ok problem just a champion" but nope i can't see my friends list or talk to people (unless in game in lobby can't talk and the after game screen ) i am luck because because people just went a position and let me go my main mid or top Nasus i go mid Ryze and tell the other people does your chat work most of my team mates say yes my chat does not work unless in game which is bad please check your coding riot please i want to call out a position but i can't
