windows mouse bug

Every time I enter a game league has an issue where it sets my mouse speed to it's default speed. Most people wouldn't notice cause they have dpi mice. Mine recently broke so I went back to my old mouse and it's really started to bother me. Why does league have the ability to change my windows settings?
