Stop blaming Riot
Now, I've had the same problems as a lot of people. Unable to connect since this morning and all. I'm not salty about it. Seriously, if a few people in this community just thought things through a bit, they'd understand why there are server issues. Now, I'm not a networking guy, but I think I've played games long enough to be able to grasp what's happening.
- It's the holiday season. This isn't too hard to understand. It's the holidays. Schools are out. Meaning everybody and their mother is going to log on to play. Which means the servers are going to be strained.
- Events. Not only are the holidays here, but Riot has blessed us with a new game mode. Player who have quit the game will come back. Servers go into overdrive.
- Bigger and better(?). I don't know about you, but I've seen a slow increase over time in the time it takes for me to queue into a game. League is getting ever more popular and at a pace, I assume, that the devs can't really catch up to sometimes. You try running a game like this one.
I'm sure there are more, but I think these reasons more than justify ONE day of lag. However, I'm sure there will still be ungrateful players who will insult the devs and cry about on the boards. I just can't believe that even during the holiday season, almost everyone in this community, out of all the wonderful flavors they can be, choose to be salty and bitter. What bugs me even more is that the people in these forums complain about a horrible community, when they are part of the problem, too.
I, for one, love you Riot. I hope ya'll have happy holidays. If only your community could get behind the spirit of giving, too.
