Peripherals or software?

I don't know if this is a software problem, or an issue with my hardware, but lately I have been playing games where my peripherals glitch out completely, and the keys don't work. For example, q doesn't go off, and instead my w would go off when i pressed q. I would then spam q,w,e,r and random things would always happen. Then my mouse glitches and i can't use my mouse. Every time i click on my mouse it just pings.
