So I've been playing some Master Yi recently, and I've noticed that when you Q a jungle monster, the monsters attack animation stops. You still lose health but the animation just doesn't happen. It can be annoying to try and kite and things like that when you can't see the animation

Thats an ancient bug. Happens lots of times when they lose sight of a champion their animations stop.
Riot addressed this bug before. It's been known for a long time and a few months ago when they did the whole "hey lets care about yi for a moment and fix some of his bugs" thing they confirmed its not a yi bug, but instead a bug with the monsters that yi just happens to trigger 70% of the time you use alpha strike. i still wish they would fix it though.
