Troubles with client on Mac

kaasboerkees·11/5/2018, 10:32:23 AM·1 votes·1,128 views

Client will constantly disconnect while open and then fail to reconnect 100% of the time. If I then reopen the client the icon just keeps bouncing on the toolbar for a long time and then the program shuts down. Another problem is the Authenticating process which seems to last forever and then also often disconnects. Help me out here!

I was summoned here!

Ow man! Please bear with me buddy. I know how frustrating this is. At this point in time we are aware of a few login issues (and crashes) on Mac OS and we are working with Apple in order to get them fixed. In the meantime, let's try one more thing which proved to give interesting results for those using it. The solution is to reduce the bandwidth of your connection. I know, it sounds unusual but it looks like the client will spazz-out when running on a high speed connection on Mac. Ez, just go to:

Network Settings > Advance > Hardware It will be set as automatic, take note of the automatic options that are in gray (Speed, Duplex, MTU, AVB/EAV mode) Set it in Manual, and in Speed select the slowest one (10T/UTP), in Duplex (set semiduplex). Let the other options as they are and APPLY Let the Network reconnect. Go to client, launch it, log in and it should work. You can already play now. Low download speed, but same ping. So if you want, let the low speed till you finish your games; and after that follow the next instructions. Or if u want full speed in game just keep going with this tutorial. Let the client a few seconds (6s) to stabilize the connection; And go back to Network Settings>Advance>Hardware; Set all the parameters as they were before, (max speed, duplex, mtu, avb/eav mode); Apply - Be patient and wait for the reconnection of the network, and let the client perform the reconnection (maybe they play button will be unavailable for a few seconds); let it stabilize the connection (15s) in case something goes wrong. Sadly, for now, you have to do this everytime. :( This should solve it, every time I tried it, it worked. Even close the Client and open it again. Log in fast, and all is good for you.

If you are using Wi-Fi, well well, you have two options

You have a high-end router and limit the bandwidth manually for your IP (same things, Limit it>Log in Client>Unlimit it>Wait>Have fun) You can use a little software for that, Network Link Conditioner (Reduce Bandwidth>Log in>Disable Limit>Wait>Have fun) Please let me know how it went!

P.S. bet you didn't expect such a fast answer xD
