Riot's Word Filter wont let me use "Jurassic" as part of my team name.

Hey Everybody, This is my first time posting to the boards since I started playing league (3 years now) and I was hoping this could get seen my somebody who works at riot so they could investigate. The word filter for Ranked Team names wont let me use "Jurassic" as part of my team name because it contains the word "ass-"

I realize this isn't game-breaking, and yes I will most likely move onto a different name if this receives no attention but I had so wanted to call my team "Jurassic 5" as a homage to the band and because it fits so perfectly for 5 long time players banding together to play ranked 5's.

(Sorry for the late reply, was talking to Competitive about this issue.)

Unfortunately, the naming system works by pattern matching off a blacklisted block of words, and 'ass' in included in this one, which is why it's not allowing you to use 'Jurassic' in your ranked team name. The only way to get around this based on how the system currently works is to remove 'ass' from the blacklist, which is something we wouldn't necessarily want to do. That said, the team's aware of this issue and they're discussing it.

Submit a Support Ticket and see if someone will manually create it for you.

Why even have a word filter for names ?

Clearly establish what is allowed and not allowed for naming and punish those who break the rules. The innocent need not suffer for the crimes of the few.

Just make it so that if it's in between letters, or have letters after it (without spaces), it will allow it.

This is as bad as the Pokemon name filter. Wouldn't let me name my majestic sun moth Apollonius because it apparently contains a curse word in a language I don't even know.
