[Client] Never connected to ARAM

I wanted to take a break from Pokemon for a little bit so I started up an ARAM. When he 'Accept/Decline' showed up, I hit accept. But then nothing happened. I could hear the champ select, but I was staring at the 'Play' screen. I figured I hadn't connected to the lobby and the game would be disbanded and I could try again. Well, it turns out the game actually went through. I couldn't connect to it so I had to wait for it to end to do anything. When it was over, I checked my match history and it said I was a leaver.

How can I be a leaver if my client didn't even know I was connected to a game in the first place?
