Client freezes in Champ Select

I'll be in the new champ select, and one of the players time counters will run down to zero and get stuck there. After a while, the game will kick me out of champ select or if I am very lucky all of the other picks get locked in immediately before I have to pick. I keep dropping in LP and it is just frustrating/annoying to always wait 30 minutes for that one lucky queue. I tried reinstalling, and rematching but nothing seems to work. I play on a mac, but this issue has concerned multiple of my friends with whom I play. This problem is present since I was "forced" to use the new client. PLS DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS?
